Italian Locking Systems Ltd (ILS) started trading back in 1987. The Company’s main sector of interest being the Roller Shutter Trade to which it initially sold a range of Roller Shutter Locks, Padlocks and Shutter Components. Thereafter became affiliated members of the British Blinds and Shutters Association (BBSA). With the introduction of its Research and Development division the Company progressed by introducing new design innovation to its range of Roller Shutter Locks, resulting in the introduction to the UK, of its Pin & Bullet (Guide) Locks.
Italian Locking Systems Ltd (ILS) is currently one of the UK’s main suppliers into The Container Hire Industry and the Roller Shutter Trade. In association with the industry we continue to advance the quality and security of its wide range of Locks, Padlocks, Cylinders and Safes where we carefully select the best products to suit our cusomers.
In 1995 Italian Locking Systems Ltd (ILS) moved from their original site to larger premises to accommodate the expansion of the business and to further extend activities to the security sector industry. In August 2019 the Reece Safety group acquired Italian Locking Systems Ltd as a perfect fit for their growing Specialist Safety products business where padlocks represent a large part of sales and knowledge. The business is operated as a standalone unit to maintain the specialism and customer service - we now have a highly skilled team in place and operate from the main premises in Elland, West Yorkshire. The family run business culture is held dear in Reece and will be maintained and improved going forwards.
The diverse needs of the Security Industry and Domestic Market has also encouraged Italian Locking Systems Ltd (ILS) to enter into co-operation agreements with well known internationally reputed security lock manufacturers, such as Cisa, Facchinetti , Effe-Ti-Taroni, Lok 2000, Viro, Era, Assa Abloy, Yale, Mul- T- Lock, Chubb, Codelocks and Orion, to ensure that we can offer the highest quality and specialised security lock products at a competitive price.
Italian Locking Systems Ltd (ILS) has earned an excellent reputation due to the maintenance of a first-class service through the care of being a small family run business, and at the same time we carry a wide range of products. Our experienced and obliging sales staff and locksmiths will respond quickly to your requests and, providing it is a stock item, items will be despatched for next day delivery (for Mainland Britain). Specialised items may take up to 5 working days.
All our own products that carry the ‘ILS’ logo are manufactured in the EC. ILS is also a registered trade mark.
